Each summer we work alongside local organizations or ministries to provide Lake Days for hurting and troubled teens. Many of these students have never been to the lake or in a boat so it can be a bit scary at first. However, we cheer them on and there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a huge smile come across a child’s face as they face their fear and learn to kneeboard for the first time.

This summer we will be ministering to over 600 students and at least half of them are what the world labels as "at risk." We recognize that many of these students come from very difficult circumstances and a day of fun on the water is a huge treat.

Over the years we have received thank you notes from students that read, "What an awesome day!," "That was the best time I can ever remember having in my life!," and "I cannot believe these people are so willing to give of themselves to do this for us kids!"

The many thanks are truly a blessing but Ms. Lou, a House Parent at The Baptist Children's Home of NC, sums it up best by writing, "What a blessing you gave us – our girls are still talking about the great time they had! They learned a little more about God’s love through people who care."
